welcome to freedom, Brother Mike!
Take care, I hope for the best.
Hmm, one more Ex Pro -JW poster
i'm sure most of you have read bits and pieces of my story throughout the last year being on this site.
i've decided as a human being, and as an adult, i'm going to make the decision on whether to stay with the jw religion or leave it.
i of course have many doubts about the organization which has lead me to do research.

that is the reason the watchtower leaders are desperately trying to protect their indoctrinated supporters from being influenced by the critics.. it will get harder and harder to recruit in countries where the internet is easily accessible...the watchtower has no control over the public like it does the indoctrinated jws.
..any interested person can very easily google and learn the truth about the watchtower cult before a 'return visit' can be made.
although most jws would be afraid to go into 'apostate ' sites, more and more are waking up to the truth about the watchtower , their interest triggered by different reasons such as the child abuse cover up, the constantly changing doctrines, the downsizing etc.
I am not sure, but I should guess that JW on the web has learned their lession in one way or another. If they write something specific to answer question, it will remain on the web more or less forever. Many JW have made fools of themselves by outright lying about shunning or lying about the watchtower history.
So probably JWs could be told just to link to the JWorgy webpage, not to be specific or answer question.
But those discussion groups can be really bad for JWs In some time they might start to have serious doubts.
what would happen if you were able to have a sat down.
with one of your love ones still in the borg.i was told i'm.
blind to spiritual matters, satan have control of my mind.
If you are aware of present JW dogma, more than active JWs are, you must be a very evil apoistate. Why else should you be aware of such things than to try to draw people away from the organisation. So, there might be a backlah to your knowledge.
Never underestimate the power of cognitive dissonance.
it's with regards to disfellowshipping.. is disfellowshipping a legal procedure?
like is there something i can use to prevent this from happening to me if it does happen.. no jokes about me being a bad little boy.
i need honest answers to this.
OK, Data-dog, you maybe changed you mind. You post diappeared That's OK
I may be a bit naive, but I prefere being that, than acting unfriendly to an active JW posting here.

Being inactive is not the same as being DFed. If you have a good family they will treat you good even when you are inactive. But don't talk to much about your doubts to them.
Try to get other friends and other activities outside the organisation, but act slowly and carefully.
weve all heard it.
a person starts studying with jehovahs witnesses and love what they are learning so much that they cant stop talking about it.
bubbling with enthusiasm, they spill everything they are learning with their friends and family...or anybody who will listen.
Of course they don't listen. In their minds they think you are going to destroy their chanses of pettin pandas in eternity. Why on earth should they listen to facts? Facts doesn't promise eternal life. Facts just scare the sh*t out of them. Thats the core of cognitive dissonance.
This is important for all "apostates" to understand
i see my wife being pulled into the org a little again, by some good people and kindness.
she grew up a very happy jw, and to leave is very hard for her.
but she has opened the pandoras box of her brain and can't shut it.. we were discussing blood a couple days ago.
In fact...have a look in Genesis. What was the first thing old Noah did? He did bring on the fire...and God smelled the good smells from the grill..altar....:-D

Nope SAHS, in that case if would be good tellinb our relatives and friends in the borg TTATT, and you know it is not. You will never reach a cult member with facts. That's tyhe case with family, and that's the case with JW-posters here. It's the same kind of cognitive dissonance. Confrontation always makes a cultist defent the cult teachings. For a cult meber his life depends on defending those dogma. One must get him out of the "cult self" to communicate with him.
i have been doing a lot of research on the bible and its roots so to speak and its becoming clearer that the jews like other races took gods and stories from others and made them their own.
its also become clear that many of the books were written later then stated, like daniel probably written about a hundred years before christ and some of it maybe even after.
but what i don't get is the prophecies.
I remember 1 st of january 1976........why not 1st o January 2018?? :-)

What I don't get is people like serial killers will have parents that still love them but smoke one cig, get drunk once, swear once and family and friends you have had all your life will just leave you. That really annoys me. Why is that?"
This is the difference betrween real love and affection compared to conditional. Conditional love is not real love..it's manipulation.
Go get some real friends outside the Borg.......the ones inside are just conditional friends.
